Oculus have just added the BBC Sport 360 app to the store that covers Olympic events right from the opening ceremony.

This should be interesting. I wonder if watching sports in VR will catch on?

I'm looking toward to it, especially the track and field. I imagine the 360 cameras will be on the inside of the track.

I think I may download the app and experience it for myself!

So.....I woke up this morning thinking I'd watch the opening ceremony in Virtual Reality... All I'm getting after a lengthy update is a slow turning orange circle. Either Rio really budgeted on the fireworks or the BBC need to fix this!

What a shame! Hopefully they sort it soon.

It's now working, I've just been watching the volleyball. It's pretty neat as you can change camera angles.
The downside is that the picture quality isn't as sharp as you'd think from the BBC

The video resolution could be down to the headset you're using or the because of the quality of the cameras currently available for recording in VR.

Amazing. I would love it if they started to do this for all the future big name fights (Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury etc.)
